“I will build a car for the great multitude”

… that’s how Henry Ford announced the Ford Model T and now flickr user Tsan-Nien builds this true motoring icon in minifig scale. More than a century after the introduction of the first mass-produced car, this LEGO rendition truly does it justice. To create the front fenders, Tsan-Nien makes clever use of the recently introduced 4 x 1 curved slope element. And for some reason, one of my favorite details is the little tank on the back.

1929 Ford Stakebed Pickup

Flickr poster ‘taltosvt’ brings us this excellent 1929 Ford ‘Stakebed’ pickup. It’s based off of a picture he found on a historical society site and the color scheme really jumped out and grabbed me. He did a great job capturing the shape and scale of the truck and I could see this fitting in on any town layout. In fact, I may be ‘borrowing’ his design for my layout.

If you have some time, check out the rest of ‘taltosvt’s’ Flickr photostream as he has some great Train MOC’s on there as well! I know I’ll be looking forward to seeing more great things from him in the future.
