LuxorV reviews Classic LEGO Town set 6378 Service Station:
Let’s take a small break from ‘Modular March’ and a return to Classic Town with these Japanese ‘Kei cars’ by Masahiro Yanagi. Kei cars are a special Japanese small vehicle category. Masahiro built over a dozen of these to show the variety of cars produced in this category that – according to Wikipedia at least – is so popular in Japan because of relaxed tax and insurance regulations. There, you actually learned something today, while looking at LEGO MOCs!
But 4-wide isn’t all that Masahiro builds. Be sure to check out the extensive collection of 6- and 8-wide cars and trucks and as a bonus, this über-cute ‘tricycle truck’.
Long time Lego collector Roscopc shares some fantastic pictures of his first set, 355 Legoland Town Center from 1973. I’m amazed to see this old town set in such good condition, complete with box and paper road plates. This set is truly a classic!
