Fogo de Chão in Modular Scale

Over the past 12 years, Fogo de Chão, the famous Brazilian steakhouse, has slowly expanded into North America, bringing their unique churrasco style of roasting meat to a new audience. Now, taking it a step further, EuroBricks administrator, Classic-Town.net founder, and recent addition to the LLCA (LEGOLand Carlsbad, CA) Master Model Builders, Hinckley aka Mark Larson, has brought this taste phenomenon to a LEGOLAND modular setting.

Temple of Skulls

Within the heart of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, Lego fan iWally ventured into the Imagination Center to share this picture taken during an expedition in February of 2008.  The Temple of Skulls appears to have multiple sections including a palm covered jungle with skull entrance and a yellow jungle temple.  These types of creations make great inspiration models for custom MOCing at home.

Beware the Crocodile Bridge!

Spanning over a tributary of the mighty Amazon is a small wooden bridge overlooking Devil Falls.  Many adventurers have followed the Crocodile Bridge to their doom as they’ve unknowingly dipped into the nearby pond to cool off after a difficult journey.  Unfortunately, hungry crocodiles lie in waiting on the other side of the pond.

Chachapoyan Temple

Toward the west end of the Amazon, as the river makes its way into Peru, there was an ancient civilization who made the cloud forests their home.  The people were known as the Chachapoyan (or Andean), also known as the Warriors of the Clouds.  Their Peruvian temple stands on top of El Panal (the Bee-Hive) and has yet to be plundered by modern archeologists.  Indiana Jones is said to have a map to the hidden temple, but beware, the plateau and temple is loaded with traps waiting to kill fool-hearty adventurers.  This Large Indy Diorama (picture from www.pockyland.net, edited by yours truly) depicts the action and adventure of the Peruvian jungle.

Amazon Crossing

Would you believe that there are no bridges that actually cross the Amazon?  Many believe it’s because the width of the river is too wide.  The actual reason is that there are so few roads along the Amazon, much of the river basin is still unexplored.  But tell that to the Lego designer that created 6490 Amazon Crossing, strangely part of the Outback Theme.  The set still makes an outstanding jungle adventure set.

Crocodile Cliff

It seems I’ve stumbled upon Amazon explorer Noddy’s Crocodile Cliff, home of the fabled Crocodile Hunter.  I’ve heard camp fire stories about this legendary hunter who paddles along the Amazon in a Small Steam Boat.  The top of the cliff is inhabited by a small clan of natives who for the most part, are fairly peaceful people.  What a terrific place!  I love the abundance of green foliage and trees.

Jungle Adventure

Wow!  The Amazon is amazing.  Would you believe that the Amazon is the largest river by volume of water in the world, and second only to the Nile in total length?  That’s a lot of water!  There must be a thousand things to see withing the Jungle Adventure along this vast river.  This is the kinda place where adventure movies are filmed.  Look over there, I think I see Indiana Jones.

Amazon Safari

Well, it disn’t take me long to hop into Aredhel’s 6672 Safari Off-Road Vehicle for a trek toward the Amazon.  Sure, a Jungle Cutter would work really well about now, but this little 4-wheel drive has Classic Town written all over it.  It seems a little brown monkey wants to follow us through the jungle.  Perhaps he knows the route because I seem to have missed my turn at the last junction.
