Transporting Classic Town Cars via railway

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

When I saw Brickshelf user, legofrik’s classic town cars cargo on rail transportation, the simplicity of the design of the cargo trailer and the various Classic Town cars design simply made me wants to find out where the cargo is heading to.

The Rich and Famous

Bringing us to the exclusive helicopter pad inside the Airport VIP Terminal, our Eurobricks Reviewers Academy Teacher, Rufus has been invited to the launch of this new luxurious private helicopter and complies his thoughts in this 3222 Helicopter & Limousine review.

It’s definitely superb to see LEGO creating this. I could imagine the usage of the limousine could be used to ferry those high net worth individuals from point to point.

A White Passenger Train known as Snowy-Rider

Monday, August 30th, 2010

This is a pretty cool naming for a passenger train that is meant for public transportation. The Snowy-Rider supports a total of 2 carriages and equipped with cosy cabins for the passengers. Do take a look inside Brickshelf member, Petronel, folder for more detailed images of his train creation.

Ship ahoy!

Wednesday, August 25th, 2010

Earlier ago, I was browsing around for some cruise inspiration and I chance upon Flickr’s member, hhc88200 photostream and saw this beautiful Catamaran 1 near the coastline. The entire built may looks simple but it’s definitely classic enough to dock at the Classic-Town.net harbour.

A Paris Morning

Monday, July 12th, 2010

French builder 74louloute creates a lovely MOC depicting a typical scene from his country’s capital, Paris. Kids on their way to school, mom and dad on their way to work. And what better way to travel through busy Paris than by metro. 74louloute has captured the look of a typical metro entrance perfectly. Don’t forget to check out the wonderfully detailed metro station St. Paul, complete with some self-promotion posters, a homeless person, a guitar player, and a graffiti artist.

ET Go Home?

Saturday, June 26th, 2010

No, don’t worry, this one has nothing do to with Space MOCcing. In fact, the ET91 is as “Town” as they get – a brilliant electric train from way before my time.

ET has brought along a blue-collar friend.

The Glass Train, as it was known, only travelled the German rails for recreational purposes, so it should come as no surprise that its design aims to please both onlookers and passengers. Sekiyama, a seasoned Trains veteran, has done great to recapture that leisurely feeling and he’s even made sure that travelling minifigs can enjoy all the amenities they’d usually be entitled to on a recreational train trip.

Commuter Train fully equipped with automatic sliding doors

Monday, June 7th, 2010

Eurobricks member, Esben Kolind’s latest creation has made my jaws dropped wide open. This is not a joke and you have to see it to believe the complexity combined with the Power Function for this amazing one of a kind Commuter Train with automatic sliding doors. It even comes with a working front, interior lights and a moving platform. He is a genius to come up with such incredible advanced techniques and it have certainly made Train Lovers going nuts about it.

Be sure to check out the video below in which Esben Kolind demonstrates all the functionality he built into his commuter train. You will not feel regret after watching this short clip.

Mega Classic Metro Park & Service Tower

Thursday, April 15th, 2010

The 6394 Metro Park & Service Tower is one of the most remarkable Classic Town sets ever created back in the late 1980s. Thanks to our new Reviewers Academy Teacher, Rapseflaps for sharing his beautiful childhood memories with us in this very memorable approach.

This set comes with 6 Classic Town minifigs with a total piece count of 620 pieces, filled with 4-stud wide vehicles and a Classic Red Motorbike. What excites me the most is the legendary one of a kind multi-story car park to place our cute Classic Town cars. I really missed this set very much, and if there is ever a chance for me to get it, I will definitely do so.

Modular Factory

Sunday, March 7th, 2010

Some time ago, we presented to you these parts trolleys by MdrnMrvls. Now, he completes the accompanying factory building. It doesn’t have an exterior full of architectural detailing like many modular MOCs these days. But hey, it’s a factory buiding! It’s all about function over form. And in terms of function it has all the essentials: work stations, an assembly line, and a truck load area. Speaking of which, who’s hiding in that truck?
