Ball Skills

Eurobricks member the inventor has posted a most topical MOC. Netherlands vs Spain in the World Cup final. Is the octopus right? Will Spain lift the cup or will the Netherlands prevail?

I love the action posing of all the figures and the simple details making an eye catching vig. The use of a flagpole as a vuvuzela is simple but effective.

The Winners of the Collectible LEGO Minifigs Series 1 Town Contest

Friday, June 11th, 2010

The Eurobricks/Classic-Town.net Collectible LEGO Minifigures Series 1 Town Building Contest has come to an end. I am proud to announce the lucky winners for this contest. Redcross and Fugazi created the Clown Dressing Room and Birthday Party to accommodate the Clown and their entries were indeed imaginative. As for Noodles140, his simplicity captures the right emotions for our daring Skater Boy. It’s not an easy feat for these winners to achieve victory.

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations!!!

Congratulations to all of you and to our participants whom have put in so much time and effort for this contest, I really appreciate it and I hope you will come back once more in the next sequel.

Clowny Collectibles

Thursday, June 3rd, 2010

One of my personal favorites from series 1 of the Collectible Minifigs is undoubtedly the clown. And in the Minifigs contest it has so far stimulated two of my favorite entries. Redcross has created a detailed dressing room for our red-haired friend, complete with unicycle and a big red nose.

Meanwhile, little Joey has his worst birthday party ever, because his mom has invited a clown to his party. Fuguzi depicts this story in a detailed four floors high vignette.

Collectible Minifig ‘Bigs’

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

“Bigs?”, you ask? Not 8 x 8 stud vignettes, but 16 x 16 studs scenes. Fresh Eurobricks staff member and Classic-Town.net blogger Peppermint_M has created a series of 16 bigs to celebrate the release of series 1 of the Collectible Minifigures. Quite a few of them are Town-related. Check out the index of all bigs in the Eurobricks Town forum.

Aspire to be an adventurous spaceman

Tuesday, June 1st, 2010

Upon visiting this iconic memorial which is built to remember the brave men and women whom lost their lives in past Space Shuttle disasters, many still aspire to be a spaceman even as a child. Using our creative young minds to imagine ourselves to be one, like what our Eurobricks members, tiggerkiddo, Xiaan and Masked Builder have done for the Eurobricks/Classic-Town.net Collectible LEGO Minifigures Series 1 Town Building Contest.

Coincidentally, both child are standing at 2 different locations in this bustling city, sharing one common aspiration and excitement in these coin-operated spaceships like this and this.

Diving down!

Eurobricks members, mookage and Torham have done and posted their creative entries in the Eurobricks/Classic-Town.net Collectible LEGO Minifigures Series 1 Town Building Contest to showcase the potential occupational hazards of the Deep Sea Divers.

The local Underwater Aquarium is now open to public and our responsible diver is actually standing by together with his new partner to maintain and clean the aquatic facility. I wonder what type of marine creatures reside in there?

If these divers are not working there, then it’s highly possible for them to search for ship wreckages like the “Titanic”.
