Reviewers Academy 3 Year Anniversary

11_08_25From the Eurobricks Reviewers Academy:

Dear Eurobricks Community,

The Eurobricks Reviewers Academy was created three years ago today! So today we’re celebrating.

Over the last year five six new Teachers have swelled the ranks, and many students are carefully working towards becoming Teachers as well. As always, plenty of sets new and old have been reviewed, adding to the already massive amount of Academy approved reviews.

Since the creation of the Academy, reviews have been held at a high standard, one that we have maintained consistently these three years. As Teachers, we continually strive to meet this high standard ourselves. After completing the nine required reviews and graduating, Teachers remain active, helping the next wave of students and writing their own reviews.

We’ve got twenty new reviews for you to read. Be sure you read them all so you don’t miss the fun!”

To see the twenty special edition reviews or join the academy or just comment on the anniversary, join the discussion on Eurobricks.

And don’t miss the Special Edition reviews of these Classic Town sets:

Adding Creator Houses to Your Table Town?

Many LEGO fans have applauded LEGO’s return to creative building over the past couple of years, with the Creator Houses line being a prime example. Eurobricks Town Moderator TheBrickster wonders whether they go well with LEGO’s City theme and are suitable for inclusion in Town layouts with or without modifications.

What holds the future of LEGO Farm?

What do you think of the current Farm theme? For myself, I am very much excited with the introduction of this fabulous City sub theme, which leads to new animals such as “Cow” and “Pig” in there. And, that’s made me wonder what will happen to this lovely sub theme. Our Eurobricks Town Moderator, TheBrickster will like to invite you and share your views on The Future of Farm.

28 Days later, what happened to your modular collection?

Don’t worry my fellow Classic Town readers. This is not the Hollywood movie, “28 Days Later” featured in LEGO Bricks. On the real note, our Eurobricks Town Moderator, TheBrickster has recently started an interesting discussion on modular collection instead. So, tell me, what happen to your modular buildings after 28 days later once you have built them. Do you have take those bricks apart and place it inside those Ziploc bags or do you simply leave them intact and letting those dust settled onto the sets itself?

What’s Your Preferred Mode of Transportation?

That’s the question that TheBrickster asks in the Eurobricks Town Forum. It seems like townies TheBrickster (Trains) and MetroiD (motorcycles) have already made up their minds. But… how do you prefer to travel? What Lego MOCs or sets to you prefer?

Classic Town vs. City Throw-Down

Another debate is just gathering some steam over on Eurobricks and this time, it’s EB user Greenjackson asking us to explore the evolution of the LEGO Town and City lines.  More specifically, he wants to know your thoughts on how the newer ‘City’ sets stack up against the venerable ‘Classic Town’ gems we all know and love.  So far, the opinions seem to be favoring the newer ‘City’ sets for their increased complexity and piece count.  At the same time, the ‘Classic Town’ faithful are making a case for a wider variety of available sets.

Be sure to head over to Eurobricks to add your thoughts to this great debate!
