Tattyeave Knoll

Monday, December 28th, 2009

Classic Town readers, did you have fun during Christmas? I hope you have enjoyed yourself with your loved ones, because I can see Brickshelf member, sukegawa is having fun with his bricks to build up this Christmas Creation.

This 18th Century English Cottage, Tattyeave Knoll which he built, is simply awesome. The circular base surrounding the cottage makes me feel as if it was placed in a beautiful snow globe.

Christmas Cottage

Wednesday, December 16th, 2009

Christmas season is just around the corner and Brickshelf member, Biczzz has done a minifig scale cottage for Christmas. This Christmas Cottage is very lovely and nicely designed by including many good illustrations such as the smoking chimney and the large Christmas tree. I could imagine the children living in this cozy warm cottage to come out and build the snowman later.

Decorating for the Holidays

Thursday, December 10th, 2009

The holiday season in upon us and The Brickster is getting in the spirit by doing some decorating in his LEGO town.   In this great thread on Eurobricks, he is asking the LEGO community to explore a number of holiday-related questions.  For instance, he wonders what LEGO sets might go well together to form a nice winter scene (perhaps in addition to the recently released Toy Shop)?  He also wants to know how you ‘convert’ your official LEGO sets for the holidays and whether you put up a small holiday scene in addition to your ‘normal’ decorations.  Finally, he asks about holiday decorating tips for your LEGO city.  Head over to Eurobricks and give you input on how you celebrate the holidays in your LEGO world!

Buy your cake and croissants in Winter Bakery

Thursday, December 3rd, 2009

Eurobricks member, Klaus Dieter has completed his very own winter retail outlet which is similar to the 10199 Winter Toy Store but it’s not completely identical since this outlet does not sell toys to the children. Instead, this lovely retail outlet sells bakery products and is now known as Winter Bakery.

There is also a stand selling Christmas tree right at the side of the bakery. If you ever need to buy cakes, croissants and Christmas trees, you know where the place to shop.

Celebrating Christmas in Winter Village

Wednesday, November 25th, 2009

With Christmas season just around the corner, everyone seemed to be in the mood of celebrating Christmas. Right in the heart of this small peaceful loving Winter Village, joy and laughter can be seen altogether right from the Town Square to the Norman Church down to the Train station. Sit down and enjoy this beautiful Christmas celebration scene which was put together by Eurobricks member, brickzone and his family members.

Seeing brickzone’s mum and his brother, Talin Agasin sitting down together as a family simply warms my heart when they put all the buildings together as one.

Eurobricks Christmas Building Raffle

Monday, November 9th, 2009

Eurobricks LEGO Ambassador and all around great guy, CopMike, is ready to start spreading the holiday cheer and he’s doing it up right with his Christmas Building Raffle!

Create Something Festive!

What will you build?

What’s a “Building Raffle”, you ask? It just means that you build your own holiday memory, scene, or whatever else reminds you of Christmas and post it in the topic to become eligible for the raffle. It’s like a randomly drawn MOC contest. Simple, huh?

So why not head on over to the entry topic and post your best Christmas cheer and you just might be one of the lucky winners! What could you win? We don’t know, he’s being a very secretive Santa and won’t even tell us!

And just as a reminder, the Winter Toy Shop shown above is a LEGO Shop at Home exclusive and limited release set, so you might just want to head over there and pick yours up before the holiday rush (and North American shoppers can also take advantage of a free shipping offer). Can’t expect Santa to do all the work for you!

Celebrating the opening of Winter Toy Shop, once more…

Tuesday, October 13th, 2009

Normally, I couldn’t want to feature a review that has been done twice, but in this case, Eurobricks Licensed Regulator aka Master Reviewer, Svelte has presented his very own 10199 Winter Toy Shop review with his incredible in-depth writing and beautiful pictures reminding ourselves that Christmas is just around the corner.

Find out yourself and decide whether if this set is destined to be treasure trove for parts or a legendary Christmas Classic in years to come.

First of its kind, Winter Toy Shop

Friday, October 2nd, 2009

Thanks to Eurobricks Knight and Reviewers Academy teacher, Cardinal Brick for sharing with us an exclusive anticipating Christmas set review this year. The 10199 Winter Toy Shop is indeed first of its kind which has great exciting town minifigs to complement the Christmas spirit, filled with lots of beautiful Christmas gifts such as teddy bear, toy train and jack-in-a-box. Even the shop layout is impressive. With such a set to buy with, this is one great Christmas to start with.
