A Hobby for All Generations

Fellow blogger Dave, one half of the team that makes up ToT-LUG along with his lovely wife and LEGO Ambassador Stacy, spent the weekend at the 2010 La Crosse Model Railroad Show.

See it all!

See it all!

Also in attendance were GMLTC and B&J Railroad. Oh, and the local news channel who decided to do a story on the show and interview Dave as you can see above. Pretty impressive, eh? Head over to Eurobricks to catch a link to the video and then say a few words to Dave about his awesome weekend, ok?

Eurobricks Train Tech is now “LIVE”

LEGO Trains and Eurobricks Train Tech are both important contributing factors and resources to City development by integrating transportation as a hub, and Eurobricks acknowledge the fact that trains are part of many AFOLs collection, and we now have separate both Eurobricks Trains & Town to the new Eurobricks Train Tech.

Come on here to find out more.

Trains & Town #1 on Eurobricks for 2009

Thanks to all of our loyal Classic Town and Train fans who helped to make the Trains & Town forum on Eurobricks the most viewed forum for 2009!  It’s great to see that the Town & Train theme is not dead and that there are many people building amazing MOC’s in both of these themes.  Let’s keep this up and go even bigger in 2010!  Be sure to let us know what you, our loving readers, want to see and we will try our best to bring it to you!

Check out the celebration thread on Eurobricks and let us know what you want to see in 2010!

Towns & Trains

Train Trilogy of Terror

Over the past several months, I’ve been seriously contemplating over the continuance of blogging for Classic-Town.  While I have enjoyed sharing superb town-related MOCs with the LEGO community through this conduit, I feel that my time may be better spent developing some other creative endeavors.  I’d like to thank WhiteFang, Dave, Shadows, Hinckley, and Alice for their contributions to Classic Town, and helping me maintain the motivation to continue blogging daily.  At the same time, I must admit that I sometimes get a little bored with highlighting only trains and town related material as I’m a big fan of Wild West, Adventurers, and a number of other themes.  In addition, very few individuals take time to even comment on our blogs, including those that have their MOCs highlighted on this site.  This has led me to question the value of what we (or at least I share).

In any case, I wish to sincerely thank our Classic Town bloggers as well as our many visitors.  I suppose it’s very fitting to announce that today (Halloween) will be my last day blogging for Classic Town.  For those of you who know me, I can still be found at Eurobricks, especially the Trains & Town forum; and perhaps I’ll even pop into Classic Town from time-to-time.

With that, I will leave you with my latest three MOCs in the spirit of Halloween.  I’ll call them “Train Trilogy of Terror”.
