River Adventure

It brings back lots of nice memories when I saw Eurobricks MCW Moderator, LuxorV latest 6665 River Runners review. This small river adventure LEGO outback set comes with plentiful minifigures and useful accessories with an affordable price tag.

What do you think? Do you like it? If you missed this set, then you should probably look for it in the secondary marketplace. I believe it will be quite affordable to acquire it.

1950′s Dive Boat ~ Looking for Adventure!

Always one for the slightly creepy side of life, it comes as no surprise that when TheBrickster wanted to build a small boat, his mind turned to the Rita from the 1954 classic, The Creature from the Black Lagoon.

If you’re feeling adventurous, why not sail over to Eurobricks to meet the creator and comment on his work, and maybe, just maybe, catch a further glimpse of this classically styled MOC.

But where is the slimy creature himself? Right behind you, of course.

Indiana Jones in Egypt

Every now and then, I must drift away from Classic Town to recognize outstanding creations that do not fit the Town/City genre.  One such creation is this fantastic MOC by Brian Darrow.  Brian has created an Egyptian Desert Scene adding Indiana Jones elements.  One can easily spot the Flying Wing and a few Indiana Jones trucks, but what makes this creation fantastic is the addition of the pyramids, Sphinx, and Egytian temple.  The Nile River and numerous palm trees add color to his nicely detailed display.  I must admit that this is what I had envisioned when building my own, smaller Desert Adventure.

The Trophy Room

As I have finally ventured out of the jungle and make my way back home; I’m reminded of a favorite place, the Trophy Room of Jonathon Thunder (by Y-Bros-P).  There’s every kind of trophy within the old coundry-side estate from some of the places that I’ve visited.  I will most definately be bringing back some of the beasts that I have encountered to add to the wonderful collection.

This concludes my World Adventure Tour – Part 1.  Until next trip, I hope you’ve enjoyed visited these exotic and untamed places.

Temple of Skulls

Within the heart of Walt Disney World in Orlando, Florida, Lego fan iWally ventured into the Imagination Center to share this picture taken during an expedition in February of 2008.  The Temple of Skulls appears to have multiple sections including a palm covered jungle with skull entrance and a yellow jungle temple.  These types of creations make great inspiration models for custom MOCing at home.

Beware the Crocodile Bridge!

Spanning over a tributary of the mighty Amazon is a small wooden bridge overlooking Devil Falls.  Many adventurers have followed the Crocodile Bridge to their doom as they’ve unknowingly dipped into the nearby pond to cool off after a difficult journey.  Unfortunately, hungry crocodiles lie in waiting on the other side of the pond.
