Service Station With A Classic Design
While perusing the Eurobricks Forums, I stumbled across a creation by Eurobricks user Sens1992 that oozes Classic Town goodness. It’s a simple service station modeled after one of the newer Texaco service stations. While I’ve seen a number of LEGO service stations in my day, its the details in this MOC that really make it stand out to me. There’s the glass roof built using SNOT techniques. The tiled floor in the convenience store area. And the gas pump design could have found it’s way into a 1980′s LEGO set with no problem. For me, this is the essence of Classic Town design. It’s simple…yet packs in a whole bunch of little details that add to the playability.
I’m sure Sens1992 would appreciate feedback on this new MOC over on Eurobricks. You can also find more pictures on his Flickr Photostream.
City Review: 3180 Tanker Truck
It’s been a long while since we have last seen an oil tanker driving along the streets of Classic Town. Now, in City 2010, there is a new source of Octan Energy available and we need a safe tanker for transporting purposes.
Never fear, Eurobricks member, mikey has shared with us, a latest review of the 3180 Tanker Truck set. . It does not matter whether the content is petroleum or jet fuel, the Octan Tanker Truck will definitely carry out his transportation job in a safe manner.
Fill ‘er Up Son
Eurobricks Trains & Town fan Scrat brings back classic Octan brand fuel with his Octan Tanker. This nicely designed truck looks great with its big rubber tires and nicely designed front cab. Fill ‘er up son, with some Octan!
Shell Tanker and Much More
Brickshelf member and classic town vehicle enthusiast, Selander, has created this absolutely amazing Shell tanker that could complement the classic Shell sets of the 80′s, or stand alone as an incredible addition to your Classic Town. Even the background scenery is impressive, isn’t it?
When you’ve finished looking at this great MOC, be sure to take a few minutes to browse Selander’s whole truck gallery, just be prepared to stare!
Tanker Truck
Over the years, I’ve seen many variations and styles of tanker trucks, some small, and some rather large. Brickshelf member Ea-the-smile creates a very nice design utilizing eight 3x3x6 corner panel pieces. Combined with a sharp cab design, his Container Truck looks terrific.
Gas Station Central
Excellent Lego Town builder Ussnegreli creates a large Gas Station with numerous trucks and transportation vehicles. Reminiscent of classic town style buildings and 4-stud wide vehicles, this station is definately Hight Octan!

Fill ‘Er Up with Some Classic Town Gas Station Fun
Once again, Eurobricks Trains & Town forum has an incredible picture review of the Legendary 6472 Gas N’Wash Express originally released as set 6397 in 1992. Luckily, this great gas station was offered again as a Legend in 2001. Didn’t have a chance to pick this set up at the time? Dark Ages you say? Not a problem; you can check out a review of this classic that will have your 4-stud wide cars clean in a jiffy.
