We’re back to interviews this month, and this time we have none other than Henrik Hoexbroe. Henrik is a member of Eurobricks, and has accounts on Brickshelf, flickr and MOCPages. Thanks to Henrik for taking his time and agreeing to this interview.
Classic-Town.net: Tell us a little about yourself. Where are you from? How long have you been building with LEGO?
Henrik Hoexbroe: I was originally born in Denmark in 1967, and moved to Spain in 1999.

I grew up with Lego, getting my frist set at the age of two, during a visit to the -then brand new- Legoland in Billund. During my whole childhood, Lego was always my favorite toy. Dark ages set in at the beginning of adolesence, but I did have a short “fall-back” at the time when the Minifig was first introduced.
The love for Lego was never forgotten though, so I later studied to become a “plastics engineer” and visited the production plant in Billund – and later worked for a company that supplied certain machinery to the Lego factory.
So it wasnt until 20 years later, at around 2003, when my first daughter was old enough to receive her very first Duplo blocks, that I got back in contact with Lego toys.
Soon, when my daughter was old enough to use “real” Lego blocks, the monthly -or weekly- acquisitions could no longer be explained and excused as being solely for her. Continue reading →
